Corey Menning

 Corey Menning is the Program Coordinator of Construction Technology at Iowa Lakes Community College. His journey in construction began early, working in his father’s business before officially entering the industry himself. With 28 years of experience, Corey brings real-world expertise and a deep passion for the trade into the classroom. Corey’s connection to Iowa Lakes runs deep—he is a graduate of the very Construction Technology program he now teaches, following in the footsteps of his father, who also graduated from the program back in 1977. For over 21 years, Corey has dedicated himself to educating and mentoring students, helping them build the skills and confidence needed for successful careers in construction. His commitment to teaching and student success has earned him multiple accolades, including Outstanding Faculty of the Year – Vocational from Iowa Lakes Community College and Outstanding Faculty of the Year from Community Colleges for Iowa. Beyond the classroom, Corey enjoys golfing, riding his Harley, spending time with family and friends, target shooting, and being outdoors. His love for construction extends beyond teaching, as he continuously seeks ways to stay engaged in the field and share his knowledge with future generations.
